. by David Vachitis1/29/2019 12:18:29 PMAnalytical. No, the result did not surprise me.Helps by keeping things objective and scientific. Hurts by possibly not considering others' feelings and emotions.Driver is easiest to work with because I need a 'push' sometimes to not get lost in the weeds.Expressive is most difficult to work with because I find emotional reactions can detract from the job to be done.It is valuable to know colleagues' working styles because it can help predict their reactions to situations. A very senior person working with beginners on a project with worrisome time constraints may become a driver.Different work styles allow for creativity and thoughtful solutions. Work styles are disruptive if they cause discension.I like all work styles except if a team member is an 'incompetent' driver. It is valuable to understand working styles so that harmony is enhanced, and so that your own ideas are pitched in the appropriate manner.
