How To Get Plasteel Rimworld
Rimworld Components
In Rimworld you must know what weapon to use in every situation. The right tool for the job is the one distinguishing thing between you and those pesky raiders. It can really make all the difference. While they will send frail attackers with clubs you will equip your most capable to do what they do best, and ward off these attacks with no issue.
Thus far on my colony of several hours (probably more than is good given how long A13 has been out) I've been unable to research beyond the basic levels because I can't find the necessary plasteel for a multi-analyser. So far nobody has traded any and all off-world trading ships haven't stocked it either. Do bulk goods ships even exist anymore? Any help would be great!:)Edit: this exploded overnight, thanks for the feedback guys good to know I'm not insane.
Does it relate to biome perhaps- I say this because I haven't had this problem before and I have cross-cut literally every piece of rock in a large hills biome and nothing. Oh well, gonna have to hold out for that bulk goods ship I guess!. Mechanoids really aren't that bad. My new strategy against Mechanoids: have one guy with a shield hunker down behind some rocks nearby and surround the Mechanoids with the remaining colonists armed with charged rifles or assault rifles and maybe one or two miniguns. The Mechanoids will focus fire your guy with the shield, but never really get through (cover, shitty aim, and recharging shield). Do this in an open area and Mechanoids become very easy to defeat.
If you get stuck with Mechanoids in a confined space, it's game over. This doesn't work if there's an inferno canon because the fire will make the decoy break from cover. If that's the case, you should follow ordinary divide and conquer strategies which are always effective, and then continue with the decoy strategy. The real boogie man in A13 is, IMO, the hives. Maybe not to a second planet, maybe just to a different part of this one, start a second colony on the same planet like a new city, eventually cover most of it and then move on or something, and the constant ability to trade between your current and previous colonies, so animals they had you can buy to start your own herds, you can buy colononists to come over to your current one to help out and then 'sell' them back when you dont need them anymore.I think it would wokr.so there would be some benefit to not every animal appearing on every planet. Well the thought I was having is that you set up 3 'Colonies/Cities' on various parts of the planet. These can all trade etc and people can move between them.
Then when you've built 3 and 'Covered/secured enough of the planet' you can have the option to move to another planet with as many colonists as you want. Or it could be limited to 3 again to make it more difficult. And then you can move to another planet that has different animals/foliage etc adding in disasters along the journey which makes it more difficult than just starting with tons of resources. Exactly how I saw the mechanic (of building a ship to escape) to be honest. It seemed a bit flawed if every day a new ship is coming by that you could easily pay to take you home with all the plasteel, steel and silver you have.

If they're willing to pay for that stuff anyway, why not buy yourself a way home?Though I MIGHT leave the colony, IF I can take some colonists and resources with me and expand elsewhere on the planet or on another planet. But to leave the planet to have the game end, seems a little unnecessary.
