Experience the innovative interface of the Touch Bar in the mid 2017 space gray Apple 15.4' MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.The Touch Bar places controls right at your fingertips and adapts to different apps to provide useful functions without having to navigate complex menus or memorize keyboard shortcuts. Replacing the function keys in the top row of the keyboard, the Touch Bar features a Retina-quality display and supports multi-touch input. The power button has been upgraded with a Touch ID sensor, so you can quickly log into your MacBook Pro using your fingerprint.

Jun 01, 2013  Last night I was playing the World Event. But for some reason I kept on Losing a connection. Does any one have any idea why this is happening?? Also what happen's in the game when you lose your connection, or will I end up starting again. Right now I am on level 3 of the new world event. I hope that I don't need to start that part again.

You can also use Touch ID to make purchases over the web, thanks to Apple Pay. Touch ID enables a quick, accurate reading of your fingerprint and uses sophisticated algorithms to recognize and match it with the Secure Enclave in the Apple T1 chip. The system features a 7th Gen Kaby Lake 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, 16GB of 2133 MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory, a 1TB PCIe-based SSD, four Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports, a Force Touch trackpad, a keyboard with a 2nd-gen butterfly mechanism, stereo speakers with double the dynamic range of its predecessor as well as improved bass, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack. MacOS High Sierra is the installed operating system. Please note that this Mac may come with an earlier version of macOS. You can upgrade to the latest version through the Mac App Store app. Touch BarThe Touch Bar replaces the function keys that have long occupied the top of your keyboard with something much more versatile and capable. The multi-touch, Retina-quality display changes automatically based on what you're doing, from showing traditional system controls, such as volume and brightness, to more directly interacting with or browsing through content.

Intelligent typing features like emoji and predictive text improve the typing experience, and you'll be able to customize the Touch Bar to fit your needs. The Touch Bar can also adapt to apps, such as Mail, Safari, Messages, and even third-party apps like Adobe Photoshop, so you'll have access to useful functions previously hidden in menus.Touch IDA Touch ID sensor has been integrated into the power button, so you can quickly log into your account, even when another user is logged in. You can also use it with Apple Pay to securely purchase things over the web, thanks to macOS Sierra.Retina DisplayThe 15.4' Retina Display has a 2880 x 1800 resolution and features brighter LED backlighting than its predecessor as well as an increased contrast ratio, delivering deeper blacks and brighter whites. Its larger pixel aperture and variable refresh rate make it more power efficient than previous generations.

It also supports the P3 color gamut, which allows for more vibrant colors. This ensures true-to-life pictures with realistically vivid details, which are essential for graphic design, color grading, and editing.Force Touch TrackpadThe Force Touch trackpad on the 15.4' MacBook Pro takes all the capabilities of multi-touch and adds force sensors that detect subtle differences in the amount of downward pressure you apply. This lets you have a deeper connection to your content, bringing more functionality right to your fingertip.

It also introduces haptic feedback to MacBook Pro — allowing you not just to see what's happening on the screen, but to feel it. With multi-touch, you can use realistic gestures like swiping or pinching to switch between apps, navigate your content, and get the most out of your desktop space.Thinner & LighterThe 15.4' MacBook Pro features a redesigned enclosure design and all-metal unibody construction that creates a rigid and dense notebook that is also thin and light. At just 15.5 mm thin, the 15.4' MacBook Pro weighs just four pounds.AudioThe speakers have been totally redesigned to provide as much as twice the dynamic range and up to 58 percent more volume, with two-and-a-half-times louder bass for maximum boom. Plus, they're connected directly to system power, enabling up to three times more peak power.macOS SierraThe 15.4' MacBook Pro runs macOS Sierra, which features Siri integration, Universal Clipboard, Apple Pay on the web, and memories in Photos.Thunderbolt 3Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector.

Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously or one multi-panel 5K display. The Macbook Pro has four ports, with each pair using a dedicated bus. Rated 5 out of5 byAmy Bee fromBest Laptop I've Ever Owned First of all, B&H was wonderful to order from. This Macbook Pro was a special order, due to the upgrades I requested. Estimated shipping was 7-14 days and I received it in 5 days! And when ordering such expensive items, you can't go wrong with tax free.

PROS: -Retina display -Screen size -Touchbar -Speed/Kaby Lake Processor -Sleek design -Speakers -Larger trackpad CONS: -No USB ports (but I easily remedied that with a HooToo hub) I use this for photography and video edits and so far this Macbook Pro delivers in every way that I expected. Editing time has been cut to more than half the time and so have rendering speeds. Rated 5 out of5 byWilliam fromPower and Beauty I needed a new computer for my music studio and the MacBook line has always been a go to for me as they always pack the best in class power with a design that fit my taste and design culture of my other products. The USB C ports on this machine are ridiculously fast and being able to power not one, but two 4K monitors is the cherry on top for this machine.

Yes, i know these machines cost a lot of money, but you get what you pay for. Our last mac ran for 6yrs before i decided to replace it. And that one is still running as well recently sold it for a great price (Retains value).

If your on the fence, go for it! Rated 3 out of5 byJohn from(Probably) amazing, but. After spending ten days & nights trying to restore with Apple Support on Twitter and two hours with graphics issues at the local Genius Bar my MBP was sent away for repair. Apple decided on a replacement of the logic board; I got it back in three days. Curiously the repair order 'issues' had.nothing. to do with reality (pages of screenshots & descriptions of bizarre behavior.) I assume they had to write SOMETHING but I'm disappointed this failed after 5 weeks.

As it turns out, was faulty right from the box (the first full red screen at initial startup should've been a clue-that should never have happened but I didn't know.) I've been restoring onto an eventually-black screen (I expected a process update indicator. NOT giving me good vibes.) I'm leery of low-star ratings on what probably will be a successful repair of some amazing equipment but this has been my experience so far. Rated 5 out of5 bydkiechle fromWonderful upgrade I bought this machine to replace a mid-2012 15 Retina MacBook Pro. The older machine worked very well, but after five years I felt it was time to upgrade and sell the old laptop while it was still worth something. The first thing I noticed is that the new computer was noticeably smaller and lighter while still having a full-size keyboard and the same size screen. The second thing I noticed is that the new MacBook Pro is not just measurably but noticeably speedier.

This is clear when looking at the specs; still, it was a pleasant surprise. The trackpad is wonderfully huge, battery life is awesome, I love the touch bar and the feel of the new keyboard, and the only gripe (thought I am REALLY nitpicking here) is that the space gray seems to be slightly harder to keep looking clean than the aluminum case (though it looks better). I don't find the four USBC ports an issue, but one definitely needs at least one USB 3.0 Type-C Male To USB Type-A female adapter to plug in thumb drives, external drives, and so on. Wonderful machine. Some will say it's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Rated 3 out of5 byMarhk fromBeautiful and Thin Apple is trying to swim at the deep end with this design vs.

Functional spectrum. I can't help thinking the company has lost its way. This 2017 MacBook Pro is thin and light and beautiful. (Too bad the apple logo on the lid doesn't light up anymore.) The screen is bright. The extended color gamut is nice.

My problem is the function. The only ports are 4 TB3 ports and one audio analog out (the digital out is now gone here). Too many dongles! Apple doesn't even make an ethernet dongle.

No disc drive. Still no Apple direct Blu-Ray support. The overall speed is good but not noticeably better than the 2016 model. The Touch Bar is way beyond useless!!!

Anno 2070 Connection Lost

My fingers seem to keep accidentally touching this whenever I try to type on the hopelessly poor shallow keyboard (No room for useful key travel?like typing on a desk). The touch ID doesn't work and never has.

( Here I'm told to dump all keychain preferences then manually rebuild the keychain?not worth the trouble! ) I see some of the PC manufacturers are coming out with full featured (but heavy) lap tops. That's what Apple should do. Call this present model a light version or Air or something. For real computer users I would like to see a thicker, heavier version with a full compliment of ports including ethernet, USB, HDMI, TB3, TB2 and digital audio out at the audio out port. In addition, a Blu Ray writer/player?with Apple software to support it. (Blu-Ray is now a viable back-up media?

But, Apple wants to sell cloud space to you.) Someone at Apple has lost their way in the product development area. Since this is a hardware review I won't even start on the massive wrong-headed moves Apple has made in the software realm. ( One example is dumping Aperture. ) Finally, Why did I buy this? Because Windows is so much worse to use!!!

I have both at home. The PC world software is a mess.

Apple OSX is clearly superior especially with the support of the App Store. There is something to this semi-closed system idea. Rated 5 out of5 bywrongrobot fromTouch Me The current generation Macbook pro is all about the tactile experience. Where the PC world has unwisely hurtled headfirst, or rather finger-first, into touch displays which collect fingerprints and oils, the MBP offers my favorite touch experience on a Mac laptop yet: the keys have been redesigned to be soft-push, quiet and responsive, and the new OLED touch bar at the top of the keyboard reconfigures based on the active application, offering different software button options.

Finally, a touch ID sensor at the far right allows the user to use their fingerprint to unlock the device, much as they may be doing with their iOS devices. It's a subtle but welcome redesign for this high end product in the Apple lineup. Rated 4 out of5 byRandom Man fromJust short of being great I purchased a 15 mid-2017 MacBook Pro (2.9GHz, Radeon Pro 460 4GB graphics card) to replace a mid-2012 MacBook Pro Retina, which remains perfectly fine for everyday use but was having performance problems with 3D rendering (Blender) and some demanding uses of Photoshop.

Overall, the machine is excellent, but the performance boost wasn't as great as I was expecting ( rendering is about 1/3 the time of the earlier MacBook, but that's not so much after five years). Like everyone else, I would have preferred 32GB memory for demanding applications, but I didn't feel that I had the luxury of waiting another year. It's marginally thinner than the previous version, but the difference isn't worth the tradeoffs they've made to achieve that thinness. They short-throw butterfly keyboard is less pleasant to use. Moreover, it's extremely noisy, with a hollow percussive sound.

Very undesirable for those who work in libraries. I actually like the fact that all four ports are the same and appreciate the simplicity of the USB-C system. I don't find the use of outboard adaptors a problem (basically I have one adaptor, which is an Anker Ethernet + 3 USB-A). I do not like the fact that the AC adaptor does not come with a power cord, only with the direct plug module, but the cords from my earlier adaptors work. I do wish Apple would come up with a Magsafe - USB-C adaptor so that I can use those earlier power supplies.

Lost

The Touch Bar is of limited utility. If you know your keyboard shortcuts, it is not much of an improvement over the standard row of hard keys. I do use the Siri button and the fingerprint recognition is convenient. Battery life is better than the previous, but being so applications dependent, it's hard to make any firm evaluation. It's a very competent, nearly great machine, but Apple's intense drive to elegant industrial design often causes them to make compromises.

Contents.Plot The scenario is set in the year 2070. Has melted the, which has raised the global so that the coasts were flooded. As a result, many old cities have vanished under the ocean, and much of what was once highland has been turned into chains of new islands.

(referred to as the 'Techs'). Ecos are and build cities, but are inefficient and slow to expand.

Tycoons are and expand quickly, but have problems with and dwindling.
