Change Touchpad Sensitivity Windows 7
I went to the site and once inside the settings area it says that there are sensitivity settings, but there were none. I did 'unclick' the touchpad 'tapping' enabled box though and that fixed my problem. My first, and only computer, until now was Hewlet Packard with Vista. I'm temorarily lost with this Gatewood/Windows 7 thing, but I'll learn. I learned a lot of the Vista with the 'How to for Dummies/Vista' books by Woody Leonard. I think I'll find one of those for Windows now.
Thanks again Mike, Jeff.
Adjust Touchpad Sensitivity Windows 7
Change Touchpad Sensitivity Win 7
WIndows 7 Professional is installed. The touchpad is far too sensitive, so that the slightest touch makes the cursor move around. COnsequently, the words I am typing will suddenly jump into some other part of the text or sections of text suddenly get deleted, as the pointer leaps about. I need to adjust sensitivity and/or have the touchpad automatically switch off when I am typing. The Dell Touchpad option does not appear in the Mouse control panel on my Latitude E5510, with Win7. I found the “C: Program Files DellTPad”-folder with all the “Apoint.exe” and the “DellTPad.exe”, but nothing happens when I run them. And the ControlPanel is stil without the Touchpad Option.
On Windows 10, 'Precision Touchpad' is a implementation designed to overcome the limitations found with traditional touchpads.Using this approach, instead of manufacturers having to build drivers that translate touchpad signals into mouse and gesture inputs, is able to understand the inputs directly.
